The call for applications for the Singer-Zahariev 2026 Grant Program concluded on 15 March. This year marks the 5th anniversary of the SZ Grant Program, which we launched in 2022. Each year, the number of applications continues to grow. Artists, artist collectives and institutions from major cities and smaller communities submit projects that are ambitious, thought-provoking, and often strikingly beautiful.
This year we have received around 40 proposals for projects with a total financial volume of more than 500,000 EUR. The Singer-Zahariev Foundation can support only a portion. Yet the sheer scale and quality of the applications reveal something very encouraging: a cultural scene in Bulgaria that is remarkably active, vibrant, and full of creative energy.
The next step will be the project proposal evaluation. The applicants will be informed as soon as possible.
