The Singer-Zahariev Foundation is proud to have supported the Bulgarian contribution to the project “Socialst Palaces” at the Humboldt Forum in Berlin. The video work “GHOST OF CULTURE” by Voin de Voin, Michaela Lakova and Rayna Teneva investigates the background, history, and legacy of the Palace of Culture in Sofia. Artists and researchers from Bucharest, Kyiv, Prague, Sofia and Warsaw focussed on the palaces of their cities. What role did these buildings play in the 1980s and 1990s, and what do they represent today?
